previews

there has been a flurry of hard work going on at the sivyer house.

outside, a total redesign of a yard that, thanks to two large, rowdy dogs, will never be covered in luscious grass. where there was once only dirt, soon there will be a recycled patio, six vegetable gardens made completely from the broken concrete of someone's old driveway, a (hopefully) thrifted herb table, and a patch of grass just large enough for picnic dinners. when the entire project is completed, i will post before and after pictures. but as a preview, today's portrait was taken outside.

inside, the sewing machine has been working overtime. ideas are coming together, and there is certainly a lot of experimentation and learning happening. a better part of today was spent on a project that i am extremely excited about. hopefully, it will completed and ready to share within the next few days. until then, i couldn't resist a preview picture!
