at one year...

titus :: one year

sweet titus

::  is walking most of the time.  he isn't even very wobbly anymore.  and in fact, he is nearly ready to start running after the boys.

::  adores his older brothers.  he follows them around and wants to be playing what they are playing at all times.

::  is still a tiny little thing.  he weighs 19 pounds 7 ounces (10th percentile) and is 29.5 inches tall (50th percentile).

::  says a few words (yeah, mama) and understands a lot of what we say. he is getting pretty good at finding objects we tell him to look for.

::  had a growth spurt last month, but is not a super hungry kid these days.  he will eat a little here and there, but his appetite has really decreased recently.  we are not worried, though, it will be back soon enough.

::  can fling himself onto the couch and then climb onto the back of it to watch out the window.  in fact, he really is an impressive climber in general.  he is really close to figuring out how to climb the ladder to the bunk bed.

::  loves to sit in his little rocking chair and just rock.  he gets this proud look on his face when he is sitting there and my mama heart melts.

::  has started sitting and looking through board books alone.

::  really is more one of "the boys" more than "the baby" now.  what a sweet blessing it is to see him growing up under the love and care of his two (mostly) adoring brothers.  we are so blessed to have such a fantastic third son

tour de farm

every year, st. johns and surrounding counties have tour de farm.  various farms dotted all over the first coast open up for tours and demonstrations.  i had hoped to go last year, but i was so incredibly pregnant that when it came down to it, i was too exhausted to do anything but nap after church.

but we made it this year!  it rained all morning before hand, so the boys and i arrived in our puddle boots (theirs for splashing, mine for retrieving the splashers when necessary).  several people from our gospel community went with us, and it was so lovely to be in such great company.  we went to four different farms and enjoyed bar-b-q, a hayride, potato art, animals, and a couple of tours complete with carrot pulling for the kids.  steve was a saint to put up with the whole thing and do it smiling.  i loved every minute and plan on going again next year!

eating the peach he snatched right out of my hand! enjoying some bbq! chloe trying to figure out where to start happy guy ready to tour! zach ashley dana they found dandelions they found dandelions boy loved that flower stuck rocks and puddles!? pulling carrots pulling carrots pulling carrots titus puddle jumping puddle jumping pig goat
