easter

this easter really caught me by surprise.  before i knew it, we were in the midst of it.  perhaps it was the fact that for the entire month of march, there was not one day when someone in our family was well.  gabe had two rounds of respiratory infections.  ezra, steve and titus each had a round as well.  i only had one bad day, thank goodness!  in all of that, i did not do all of the planning and preparing for easter that i had hoped for.  it was simple and, i think, lovely.  the boys did a little egg hunt at a friend's house on saturday.  and on sunday, we went to the easter parade and then met the baughers at cross park for resting under the trees, telling the story of easter and a picnic dinner.  it was really lovely and i will definitely insist that we make it a tradition.
