seven

yesterday, gabe turned seven months old . here are some things about seven-month-old gabe:

-he can get around very well. he is very close to crawling, but has yet to put it all together into an actual crawl.

-he tries very hard to stand up. there is not a time when i am on the floor that gabe is not using my legs to pull himself up. he can often get very close to standing before i have to offer him help. he really seems to enjoy this particular activity, and never gets frustrated by it. he is very persistent.

-he is now all formula fed. as sad as it was, i had to accept the fact that what he needs right now is to get as much nutrition as possible. for whatever reason, i was not producing enough nutrition for him, so he is now a bottle baby. he really loves the nutramigen that he is on, even though it is the most disgusting thing i have ever smelled.

-he is really growing; he gained three pounds this month alone! he is now weighs a whopping 17 pounds! (which when you consider that i weighed a mere 19 pounds at a year old, is really quite impressive.)

-he has two teeth coming in (a source of much frustration for him these days).

-he has mastered the emotion of anger. when he has had enough of something, he furrows his brow, throws his head back and lets out a scream of intense fury. it is hilarious, and i have to hide my face and laugh so that he doesnt realize that i think it is funny.

yes, this picture is weird. i took it with a fisheye lens when i was playing with patty's camera last month. i chose it for gabe's seven month post because of the furrowed brow. it is really a look that i get a lot these days.
