so, gabe has outgrown his baby car seat. at 28 inches, he is about to reach the length limit for his carrier, and we will have to get him a new seat. not a big deal, except that the new seat will be permanently installed in to the car. no more convenient snap in and out and carry his all over and put him in the shopping cart without ever unstrapping him. nope, he is all grown up and needs a big kid car seat.
last night, i decided to try him in the shopping cart like a big kid. after all, with no more baby seat, he is going to need to be able to sit up like a big kid at the grocery store and at restaurants and stuff. well, of course, he did beautifully. he sat up straight and held onto the side with one hand and smiled and flirted with everyone in publix. what a good kid.

I cannot believe how much he has grown! I wish I could be there to see all these fun things happen :(
Micah and I have been wanting to try this with Sophie all week but I am still working on my cover and I think she needs the cushion before we give it a try. He looks like such a big boy.
