sew, mama, sew

it is very unlike me to have enough to say that i post to the blog two times in one day, but today i am inspired!

gabe has been taking wonderfully long naps the last few days thanks to the tin foil that steve and ben put on his window (it is as dark as nighttime in there). he has struggled the last few weeks with napping; it seems that he has been unable to soothe himself back to sleep when he wakes up, and he has only been taking 30 minute naps at a time. the last two or three days, however, he has been sleeping much better. his room is really dark and he is now sleeping on his belly (i know they say that's bad, but i slept on my belly and i'm alright). i am very thankful for all the rest that he has been getting and all the time that i have to do housework and other things.

during some of my spare time today, i was browsing various sites, and i came across this one. as soon as i got to it, i was inspired! i think that i could make the tote, not so much the blouse. the site has a tutorial on how to make the tote, and i think that i will try it one of these days. ill let you know how it goes!



also, i found this thank you card holder on this website. i love the bird fabric, and i think that the whole thing is just adorable! would love one for myself! cant wait to get sewing!
