too big to do anything else

lately, lots of people have been asking me how i am feeling. for the last few weeks, the answer has been an honest "so great, i can't believe how good i still feel".

not anymore. not sure what happened, but almost as quickly as i went from 27 to 28 weeks, i got huge and tired. you would think that i could be more prepared for the coming of the last trimester, what with having done it twice before, but that would be too easy. i let my guard down and now i find myself surprised at how exhausted i can get. and how poorly i breathe. and how achy i am. and what a saint my dear husband is for putting up with me the last few days. but then, i guess that last one is not really a surprise at all; he is always as saintly as i am whiny.

anyways, not the point of this post at all...

the point is that at the end of the day today (although if i were being honest, i would really say towards the end of the day, since it was only 6:00) i had spent all of my energy. and steve had to work late. so, rather than continue to allow my children to destroy my house while i watched helplessly from the couch, i filled the tub with water and a mountain of bubbles, plopped them in, pulled out my camera, sat on the bathroom floor, and let them go to town while i entertained myself taking pictures of their sillyness. it was much better than allowing them to destroy the house. and i am sure steve appreciated it more too.

in the end, i never quite found the energy to actually bathe them.. just pulled them out of the tub, dried them off and called it a night. a good night.

I am so excited that your family has a blog too; what great pictures you took! I loved your retelling of the evening and had to laugh about your whining. I am just as whiney as my husband is saintly as well. :) will be praying for your discomfort...
