a strong love

today, gabe and i went to carousel park to celebrate the second birthday of dana's daughter, esther. it was pretty warm out, but as parks go, this one is mostly shaded and stays relatively cool. gabe has really taken to esther lately, and followed her around the playground all morning. right before we left, i told him to give her a big birthday hug, which he did, and i snapped a quick picture of it. i didn't, unfortunately, get a picture of the two of them falling to the ground from the sheer force of the big hug. gabe really loves esther (if i had to guess, it would have something to do with that gorgeous curly hair of hers).
