MAMA!

well, its official, gabe's a genius! okay, well maybe not, but i think he is very bright. yesterday, steve and i were talking in the car on our way to chick-fil-a for lunch when from the back seat we clearly heard gabe say "mama." and then he said it again two or three more times.

what you must understand is that i have been saying "mama" every day fairly consistently for the last several weeks. i was determined that he would say it for me. i don't count it as his first word because he is just repeating what he has heard me say over and over again without any idea what it means. however, it was still pretty cool to realize that i taught him something, and that, on some level, we are closer than ever to being able to communicate with one another.
