every week, gabe is different. this week the thing about him that has changed is his ears. they used to be pretty well pinned back on his head, but this week, they have migrated out in a style that any elf would envy. personally, i think it is a fantastic look. i actually remember thinking while we were in the hospital that his ears would be much better if they stuck out just a little more. (no thats not a joke, i really thought that!) anyways, you can see his new ears in the pictures from the last two posts, or in this one with the green star outfit. i like this outfit because i think it makes him look like a garden gnome. also i think that his new ears really complete the look.
on another note, one of the most popular things that people ask me about is how the cloth diapering is going. well, i can finally report that it is going surprisingly well. i have been using the cloth diapers periodically over the last few weeks, but yesterday, i used them all day. and for those of you who dont know, i am planning to use cloth diapers permanently after we run out of the disposables that were given to us by friends and family. we were actually given an increadible number of disposables, but gabe has blown through them much faster than i could ever have imagined. so, as i face the fact that we are about to run out, i am preparing myself for the adventure that is cloth diapering. as i learned yesterday, it is not all that bad in the end. it makes for one extra load of laundry a day, but that will not kill me. i took some pictures of gabe in his cloth diaper for all to see.
also, i added a link to my favorite cloth diaper website!

Great blog. Congratulations to you for using cloth diapers. It really is the best way to go. I used cloth diapers on my kids with great success. Pins, flats, and rubber pants, and I'd do it again.
