zoo

if you have been reading our blog for any amount of time, you know that my family loves to go to the zoo. we love that it is so close and that we can go for free (thanks mom and dad! best birthday gift ever!). we love the conversations that we have with the boys while we are there (gabe: look mom, those birds are having a party!) and we love the opportunities that it provides us to teach them about how incredibly diverse God's world (and God himself) is.

a couple of weeks ago, we went to the zoo with several other families from our gospel community. while we were there, we celebrated the birthday of a neighborhood boy (whose mother i have known now for 7 years) and spent time with the people who we have come to really consider our family.

happy birthday, pj!

between us, we had a total of 14 children. out of those kids, eleven belonged to just three families (ours, the baughers, and the andersons). it was a crazy, busy and fun day!
