a quick break

i am home right now for a quick break and a little gabe time before heading back to the hospital where ezra is being treated for rsv (a respiratory infection).

ezra and i both caught gabe's christmas sickness and since ezra is so young and unable to clear his own throat, nose and lungs of mucous, the pediatrician admitted him to the hospital on monday morning to be closely monitored. it seems that rsv is going around right now (the pediatrician swabbed 6 positive cases monday alone and there are two other babies on the pediatric ward with it).

we were optimistic and hoping to be discharged today, but ezra was put on oxygen last night, and until his levels can stay up on their own, he will have to stay (and thus so will i, as he is nursing and i have to be there to feed him).

ofie and katie have been here to help with gabe and our church has, once again, rallied around our little family and has been providing for us in many ways as well. God has blessed us with so many caring people and we are so thankful.
