it has been quite a while. i know. last thursday, steve and i (along with judith and sarah) flew to minneapolis for a childrens ministry conference. we left gabe with my parents (who were later replaced by steve's parents) where he was sure to have more fun. the conference was challenging and thought provoking, and certainly exactly what our little church needed at this time in its growth. i am excited to see how God works in the things that we learned as we seek to make the children's ministry one that is God-centered and family-supporting.

gabe had a great time with his grandparents. john and ofie took him to the beach and played with him in the little pool out back. my parents took him to carousel park. it was certainly a busy weekend for him. i have a few pictures of john and ofie's visit, but am waiting to receive some from my parents (and will definitely post them when they come)

in the chaos of it all, i lost track of my portrait of the day and have been struggling to get it back together. i have a picture from monday, but i have no idea what day i am on. i will figure it out soon and get back on track!
