eight

gabe is eight months old! wow. it is hard to believe that it has been so long already. here are a few things that eight month old gabe does...

-he can crawl... fast. he is into everything these days, and he can get to them before i turn around to see what he is up to. he especially loves wires and anything that he shouldn't be playing with.

-he can pull himself to standing using a variety of surfaces. short tables, chairs, doors... anything will do really. unfortunately, he is not quite as good at remaining standing, and often falls, resulting in tears.

-he feeds himself. he especially loves chopped up bananas and sweet potatoes, and would eat them for hours if i would supply them for that long.

-he growls at people... often strangers.

-he knows a camera when he sees one, and he also knows what to do when one is pointed at him. no matter what he is up to when i pull the camera out, he puts on his most charming smile when he sees it.

-he weighs seventeen pounds fourteen ounces.

-he got a flu shot and his blood drawn last week, and did not cry either time. i was shocked, because i find needles to be so traumatizing, and he usually wails. but he didnt even flinch last week, and i was so proud.

gabe is turning into such a great kid. it has been so incredible to watch him grow and learn and develop a killer personality these last months. he is such a joy, and we are blessed to have him in our lives.
