a busy mama

i have been doing a lot of sewing. there are so many things that i want to try, and i just can't find enought time in the day to do it all. but, i have found a little time here and there, and have managed to throw together a few things. most of my efforts have been concentrated on little coloring kits (crappy name, i know, i need to do some thinking and come up with a new one). i gave one to bethany on her birthday, and the recieved some requests from other moms, so i did a few more. they are really easy, and i just love how practical they are. here are a few of them.





also, last night, i was itching to try making a pincushion (as i am in great need of one, and i have a lot of scrap fabric these days that i don't want to waste). here is what i whipped up...

there are a few more things that i have made that i cant put here because they are christmas gifts for people who read this blog, but i took pictures and i promise that i will put them on after christmas.

as a result of all of this sewing, i have decided to open up an etsy shop. etsy is a place to sell handmade items online, and i am excited to get enough things made to open. it will probably be sometime after christmas (too bad i didnt do this faster, because those coloring kits would be perfect stocking stuffers). i will certainly keep everyone posted, and would love suggestions of things that i should consider making for the shop.
