and though we spent the summer preparing for this shift in community, most of our time was spent really living. we went to the beach and the inlet the pool and the park and the zoo and dove fully into enjoying every second of our time off, together. it was a refreshing change, and just the reset we needed to be ready to take on a new school year and all of it's changes.
for now, finally, things have calmed. we are again finding a rhythm that suits us and are settling in to more days at home. the fun of summer wore us out and we are all content to see more of our little house (at least for the time being), go to bed a bit earlier, and to really savor our time together around the table (and on the floor, and snuggled up in the bed). hopefully this means that this space will see more action in the coming months (for even when i am not able to write, i am constantly mentally composing, and i would rather those thoughts and pictures see themselves to this place than get lost in the chaos of my mind!).
i have some catching up to do, so bear with me as we go way back... starting with a few random things:
{end-of-the-year ballet for both big boys, and titus's sideline participation}
{gabe's first boyscout pinewood derby}
