silliness on the sea wall

i really could not be a bigger fan of our new tradition of taking a picnic lunch at the fort every thursday.  now that we are really doing school three days a week, by thursday, we are all so in need of a few minutes outside (and the boys are in need of some serious running around) and it has turned out to be one of the best things we do each week.

this week, i took my camera.  these days, in order to take pictures of these three crazies, the circumstances must be just right.  taking my eyes off of them long enough to compose and shoot a few pictures can be somewhat of a tricky thing to do, so i have to be careful that when i take my camera out, there is nowhere for them to run and get into trouble.  the fort is a great place for this because there is just so much space.  no one can run out into the road or get into any real trouble in the few minutes that it takes to snap a few shots.  and even though the lighting is not ideal at one in the afternoon, it was still the loveliest of days, and the boys were silly and fun. (please also note that i did have kayla take a few pictures with me in them!)
