i told steve last night that i have really come to appreciate living so close to our parents. i love that they can just pop over and take the boys for a few days whenever the mood strikes... and i love that they are around to celebrate birthdays and births and all manner of other small things that would not warrant a cross country trip, but are certainly more meaningful with them there. and if, one day, we find that God is calling us to move, i will certainly be sad to see this closeness go. so for now, we will embrace it and enjoy it and allow our boys to bask in the spoiled-ness of it.

to see family
last weekend, steve and the boys and i headed to tallahassee (and surrounding small towns) to visit family and friends. this was the first time many people have met titus, so we were definitely busy all weekend visiting with grandparents, great-grandparents, cousins and old friends. we filled our time with good food (thanks dad!), lots of pool time, peach picking, and a trip to the junior museum to see the animals. titus was a trooper through it all and is certainly proving to be a pretty laid back third kid.
