swimming!

there has been a lot of swimming going on these days! gabe has been taking swimming lessons for the last two weeks. we are still working on his confidence as a swimmer after his sudden fall into the pool last year. when we were at john and ofie's house last weekend, gabe discovered that he could touch in their shallow end. he spent saturday and sunday in their pool bounding around like he had never been scared of the water at all. then, when we stopped at the farm on our way home monday, steve taught him how to swim. just like that, he was confident enough to jump without holding hands and swim to the staircase with no help. by swim lessons on tuesday, he had regressed slightly because steve was not there with him, but he is still doing much better than i expected him to.

ezra, on the other hand, is not at all lacking in confidence! he jumps in, goes all the way under the water and comes up all smiles. he loves being in the water!

and, in tallahassee, even titus got in on the fun, cuddling with his mimi in the warm baby pool.
