one!

already, my sweet little newborn is a one-year-old. i can't think about it too much or i will cry (cut me some slack, though, i am chock full of hormones these days). he is such a perfect addition to our little family and we couldn't imagine life without our sweeet ezra.

at one year old, ezra

:: crawls like a pro, stands on his own, and walks holding onto walls and furniture. no sign of any interest whatsoever, though, in actually walking. no worries. i am content with a crawler for now.

:: loves to yell "hi" to anyone and everyone until he gets some acknowledgement!

:: has four teeth: two front bottom teeth, and two front vampire teeth. what a great smile that makes!

:: is still a vegetarian, but will eat just about anything that is placed in front of him.

:: gets a cookie now when we go to publix. he also really loves to drive the car cart and even turns the wheel enthusiastically.

:: is a bit of a mama's boy, but i am not complaining.

:: loves to be read to. and will sit contently in your lap for extended periods of time. after gabe's energetic start on life, this is a bit surprising.

:: weight 21 pounds and is 32 inches long (which is 95th percentile for his weight)!

:: still has a blcked tear duct which, sometime this year, will likely have to be surgically corrected. now worries, though, it shouldn't be a big deal at all.

:: still sucks his thumb, and now also kneads his ear with his other hand. guess left hand was just bored.

:: gives huge, open-mouth kisses. this is my favorite thing that babies do and i melt everytime he offers me a kiss.

:: knocks his head into mine (or steve's or gabe's) when prompted with the words "ezra, noggin".

:: gives high-fives.

:: is awesome.
