eleven months

here are a few things about eleven month old gabe:

-he is walking like a pro (see video below).  when he knows that people are watching, he even shows off by doing complicated turns.

-he knows how to give kisses, but has not figured out how to pucker his lips.   thus, all gabe kisses are given with an open mouth.   also, he takes great pleasure in denying kisses, and enjoys running away giggling.

-he understands a growing number of things that we say and responds with appropriate actions. examples:  "give that to mommy" (hands me what he is holding), "bye-bye" (waves), "no gabe" (either stops what he is doing or smiles devilishly and continues being bad), "yay" (claps).  there are others, but i can't think of them right now.

-this week i have given him cheese and yogurt.  so far, no reactions are apparent.  looks like we might officially be finished with that dairy allergy of his.

-when he sees someone that he is excited about and wants to get their attention, he often yells "hey!"  don't think that he knows what it means, but it is really funny.
