a quick visit

this morning, to celebrate jared's arrival, the boys and i took him to the jacksonville zoo. i really love the zoo, and since we have a family pass, we can see only as much as our patience will allow in this insane heat and then be on our way without feeling like we have to get our money's worth! so that is just what we did... we stayed for about an hour and a half and then headed home.

gabe decided to use a little of his own money to feed the giraffes and ride the carousel. not many pictures of our morning; i tend to slack on things like that when the heat sends me into survival mode (just so you know the "feels like" temperature here has been in the 105 to 110 degree range for weeks now!). but i did get this pair of shots that i really love!
