at six months...

precious ezra:

:: makes this face nearly all the time. drool included.

:: falls asleep on his belly. he does not, however, stay asleep on his belly. so, at some point, we have to go in and roll him over if we want him to keep sleeping (which, of course, we do!).

:: started eating solids last week. it took a few days for him to decide he was okay with it, but he now eats rice cereal mixed with apple juice and squash two times a day.

:: weighs 16.75 pounds (20th percentile) and is 28 inches long (90th percentile). i was a little surprised to find out that his weight was so small compared to other babies his age because he is such a solid-looking kid. but there is certainly no doubt that he is healthy!

:: loves it when we help him stand. also, he is really close to being able to sit all on his own, but hasn't quite mastered it yet.

:: is finally getting back to sleeping well at night. most nights, he will sleep from about 7 to about 6 with one feeding before i go to bed. every now and again, though, he will wake up and fuss for a bit.

:: loves gabe. actually, the love is mutual. often, i will overhear gabe and ezra cooing at one another. and gabe loves being the first to greet ezra after he wakes up from a nap (probably because of the huge smile that waits for him in the crib!) i am so excited to see the special relationship that they will have emerging even now.

:: is still our quiet, cuddly one. i am convinced that he is one of the most content babies on earth. it is such a blessing to be his mother and we are all so in love with him!
