nothing compares to fresh picked green beans. gabe's pool allows for just enough time to comb through the green bean plants and pluck all of the biggest ones to make room for more. today's harvest produced enough for two meals, and there will be another meal's worth by the weekend. i think that i would eat green beans every night for the rest of the summer if my plants would produce that many. i just really love them.
soon, we will also have an abundance of tomatoes from our six plants, so long as the caterpillars that keep cropping up do not ruin all of my plans. i guess that i should make the garden a more bird-inviting place in the very near future.
so excited to see our little gardens producing!!
